Rand Water invites applicants from suitably qualified and previously disadvantaged individuals to apply for an 18-month Supply Chain Practitioner Learnership. The purpose of is to provide the learner with the required knowledge, practical skills and workplace-based experience to prepare the learner to operate as a Procurement Officer. A Procurement Officer coordinates the procurement and supply of goods and services, manages contracts and negotiations with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Attend classes as part of the learnership programme
• Participate in discussions and activities during class

Qualifications

• Applicants must not be employed
• Applicants must not be enrolled with any institution for a qualification nor be registered in any Learnership Programme
• Applicants must not be in possession of a completed post-matric qualification (NB: Failure to disclose post-matric qualifications will result in applicant being disqualified)
• Applicants in possession of a post-matric qualification must not apply and will not be considered
• Applicants must have a Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics Literacy and English (minimum of Level 4 in ALL the subjects)
• Applicants must submit / attach SAQA / NLRD verification report (Obtainable from SAQA website)
• Applicants must be a South African citizen and be in possession of a valid SA ID
• Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age (in line with the NSDSIII)
• For People with Disabilities (PWDS) OApplicants who are deaf or hard of hearing should be able to provide their own interpreters at their own costs, since this is a learnership and they should be able to Hear and Communicate
• OProof of disability (Doctor’s Certificate/report or signed ITRDD13 by a registered medical doctor) MUST accompany the application
